Following an impressive outing during the SEC Championships last Friday, the Texas A&M women's cross country team attained recognition in the United States Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association National Coaches poll this week.

Texas A&M University will augment the contract of Pat Henry, head coach of men's and women's track and field, following the meeting of the A&M System Board of Regents last week.

Texas A&M women's cross country team garnered a milestone accomplishment in the history of the program by placing second at the SEC Championships on Friday. The Aggie men tied for seventh place.

Texas A&M's second venture into the SEC Cross Country Championships takes place this Friday on the University of Florida's Mark Bostick Golf Course. Race time is 9 a.m. (EST) for the men's race while the women's race will begin at 10 a.m. (EST).

A field of highly ranked national teams at the fifth annual Wisconsin adidas Invitational offered Texas A&M a final test prior to the start of the championship season in cross county. The Aggie women placed 23rd while the A&M men were 33rd.
