FAYETTEVILLE – Brea Garrett, the defending NCAA champion, became the collegiate leader in the weight throw as her impressive mark of 73 feet, 1 ¼ inch (22.28) topped a field of the nation’s best throwers this season at the Tyson Invitational on Friday. The effort by Garrett is the fourth best mark in the world for 2015.
